The players then progress onto the practice session:

o        Each week a different shot is practiced.

o        This shot is then progressed into a routine so that the players can practice the movement required and understand when the shot should be played.

·         Completion of beginner / intermediate session:

o        A session is normally completed with an hour of games.

o        The games consist of doubles, singles and various team games.

o        The session comes to a close with “Round the clock”.

·        The routine for experienced players comprises of all of the above except “Round the clock” although the routine is technically more difficult.

o        Movement around the court whilst playing shots (click on the link for a demonstration).

o        The court is set up with 3 feeders and one person playing the shots as shown in fig 2

o        Each of the feeders has to feed two different shots.

o        Player A starts the routine by feeding a high serve to the back of the court.

o        Player D plays a drop shot and moves to the next position near the net in the middle.

o        Player B feeds a net kill which Player D performs and moves to the back right corner.

o        Player C  feeds with a high serve which Player D performs a clear and moves straight to the net.

o        Player C then feeds just over the net to allow Player D to perform a lift.

o        Player D then moves to the middle where Player B feeds a smash.

o        Once Player D has performed the smash the player advances to the left hand side for a net shot.

o        Player A feeds the net shot and then lifts for Player D to start with a drop shot and the routine starts again.
